Craftsmanship

Every Young Era piece starts as a sketch and ends as something we'd wear ourselves. Here's what goes on in between.

Design

All our graphics and panel layouts are drawn in-house. Nothing is licensed, nothing is pulled from a stock library. When you see the laser-etched spider web across our denim or the gold outline lettering running down a trouser leg, that was built from scratch for that specific piece.

Sampling

No design goes into production from a drawing alone. We sample it, wear it, wash it, and check how it moves. Collars that roll, puff print that cracks, panels that twist after a wash — these are the things that only show up on a real sample, and they're the reason some designs never make it to the site.

Fabric choices

We pick fabric per piece rather than running everything through one mill spec.

  • Heavyweight fleece (400gsm) on our hoodie and sweatsuit sets — structured enough to hold an oversized shape instead of collapsing.
  • Premium woven polyester on the tracksuits — wind-resistant, light, and it holds a sharp panel line.
  • 12oz denim on our denim sets — rigid and pre-washed, so it breaks in rather than falls apart.
  • Structured French terry on the rugby set — soft-touch but with enough body to keep the collar standing.

Construction details

The things that take longer but make the piece:

  • 3D puff appliqué lettering, applied rather than printed flat
  • Embroidered badges and spider motifs, not heat-transfer patches
  • Contrast raglan piping sewn in, not printed on
  • Reinforced elastic cuffs and waistbands
  • Metal snaps and YKK-grade zips on outerwear

Small runs

We produce in limited quantities. It costs us more per unit and it means we sell out, but it lets us check pieces properly before they ship and keeps the brand from flooding the street with the same fit.
